SUMMARY:10th Annual Bowl-O-Rama
DESCRIPTION:Lamar County Contenders\n\n		10th Annual "Will You Spare The Time?"\n\n		BOWL-O-RAMA\n\n\n\nI am Carolyn Scarborough\, Head of Delegation\, and I represent the Lamar County Contenders Special Olympics Adult Bowling team.  This is a team of Adult mentally and physically challenged people who are very dedicated to their friends and their team.\n\n\n\nWe are beginning our fundraising for 2013 to get these 23 athletes and volunteers to Dallas for Area Competition and to Austin for the State Competition.  They did so well last year.  We are getting excited all over again and getting ready for a good year.\n\n\n\nWith this many athletes and volunteers\, we work really hard to provide transportation and meals.  For the Dallas competition in November\, we provide transportation and one meal for everyone.  For the Austin Competition in January\, we also must provide Motel accommodations for our stay there\, along with transportation and three meals a day.  If this is the first time you have received our letter\, we hope you will join in\, and help get these folks to their competitions.  Our athletes are all out of the Public School System so we receive no funding from the Public School System.  This team is the only activity some of them are involved in.  Some live in group homes\, some live alone\, and others are lucky enough to have family to live with.  In the past\, if for some reason we were unable to get them to their competitions\, we always do something special for them.  One ear the State Competiton was cancelled due to weather related matters\, so we took them for a fun filled two night stay in Branson\, Mo.\n\n\n\nWe are planning our  \n\n	\n		Saturday\, August 24\, 2013 BOWL-O-RAMA\n	\n		at Paris Lanes complete with Door Prizes\, Music\, Snacks and Drinks\n\n		Grand Prize to One Lucky Bowler \n\nto help raise money.  We need teams to register\, or if you could make a donation\, it is Tax Deductible and is desperately needed.  Your donations made to the state level stay with the state.
