DESCRIPTION:Everyone is invited come and watch the Santa Paws for a Cause 1 mile Dog Parade is set for 10:00 a.m. December 14\, 2013 in Historic downtown Paris\, Texas.  Spectators are guaranteed a howling good time while they cheer the dogs raising their paws for a cause. The Parade is benefiting the Lamar County Humane Association and the Salvation Army Angel Tree program. \n\n \n\nPre-parade activities begin at 8:30 a.m with a "Bone-a- petite" breakfast  of a Schlotsky's mini cinnabon and coffee to satisfy a growling stomach\, benefiting the Lamar County Humane Association. Lifestyle Photography will take "pawtraits" with Santa Clause  for $3 ( free to all parade entrants). Create your personalized "pet prints" ornaments\, benefiting the Salvation Army. Dogs and masters can try out the Ruff Rally Challenge Course\, sponsored by Bar Lo Kennels. A professional dog trainer will be on site. Parade line up begins at 9:45 a.m. The Parade will be led by the City of Paris Fire Truck\, Sparky may even make an appearance.\n\n \n\nSeveral contests include best dressed holiday dog\, best dressed master dog duo\, most talented dog\, and best float\, with prizes sponsored by PETCO.  All dogs and their owners must register before entering the Parade of Champions. All dogs must be current on their vaccinations. All parade entrants will receive a Santa Paws for a Cause commemorative t-shirt and dog bandana while supplies last.
