Beth Henley once again brings her southern humor to life with a great cast of eccentric characters set at the Ms. Firecracker Contest in Brookhaven, Mississippi.  Carnelle is in desperate need to change her reputation from being known as "Ms. Hot Tamale" to the more socially acceptable, Ms. Firecracker, crowned every year.  Will she succeed?  Not if her family has anything to do with it.  Beauty, femininity and the need to be accepted are themes throughout this very funny play.
