DESCRIPTION:(PARIS\, Texas) -- The United Way of Lamar County (UWLC) will hold the 2nd Annual Live United 5k Run/Walk on Saturday\, May 18\, 2019 at 8am on the Trail de Paris.\n\nPart of this year's Live United 5k proceeds have been allocated to help fund snacks at the Boys and Girls Club after school program.  \n\n \n\nJenny Wilson\, UWLC Executive Director\, said "last year's 5k was such a fun event with over 50 people participating.  We will have medals for race winners\, but we want as many people as possible to come out and participate whether they run or walk.  This is a great opportunity to not only raise money for the United Way and our 24 partner agencies\, but to enjoy the beautiful Trail de Paris and get some outdoor exercise."\n\n \n\nSponsors of this year's event include title sponsor Texas Oncology as well as Lamar National Bank\, Paris Regional Medical Center\, Everett Toyota of Paris\, Pools and More and Quality Care ER.  Wilson adds\, "we are so incredibly grateful to our wonderful sponsors!"
