Livingston’s Winter Wing-a-Ding Let it go! LET IT G- whoops, sorry, we meant ‘Let it SNOW!’ The biggest enemy of kids during the wintertime in the Victorian era, other than keeping warm and doing chores, was fighting boredom, and that hasn’t changed much! In the 1800s, staying snug was a daily chore. Luckily, for an upper-middle-class family like the Maxeys, they had some options for staying warm while still going about their daily business. Kids attending this event will learn all about what the Maxeys did to keep warm and entertained during winter, then make “I’m Bored” Jars and do a Snowstorm in A Bottle science experiment which they can take home!
