Parlor Chat Series at the Maxey House

Join us for our brand new parlor chat series! There will be a new topic every other month, each topic following this year’s theme of “Love and Marriage.”

Parlor chats should last around 45 minutes. We will meet in the parlor of the Maxey House at 3 p.m. on the 3rd Sunday of the month (unless otherwise noted).

The July 19th chat will cover wedding anniversary traditions and celebrations. The discussion will focus on different wedding anniversaries and their respective gifts, as well as how the Longs celebrated their golden anniversary in 1944.
