Northeast Texas Children's Museum Unveils Atmos Energy ''Project Pipeline'' Exhibit Atmos Energy's ''Project Pipeline'' interactive exhibit will be dedicated on Friday, August 10, 2012, at 11:00 AM at the Northeast Texas Children's Museum in Commerce, Texas. The ribbon-cutting by Atmos Energy executives is open to the public and will include free admission to the Children's Museum throughout the day. ''We welcome this opportunity to again work with the Northeast Texas Children's Museum,'' said Jeanette Moser, Manager of Public Affairs for Atmos Energy. ''The museum provides unique and imaginative services for children and families throughout Northeast Texas.'' ''Project Pipeline'' has been under construction for several months. When completed, the exhibit will explain how natural gas is brought up from the earth and then distributed to homes and businesses. Children will be able to play in a construction area with actual pipes and fittings now used by Atmos Energy. A Velcro wall will allow children to construct their own pipelines, with balls representing natural gas. Lockers for safety gear, including safety vests, hard hats, glasses and gloves, along with safety posters, will emphasize the importance Atmos Energy places on working and playing safely. The exhibit promises to be fun for children of all ages. ''Atmos Energy believes deeply in the mission of our Children's Museum, and has been a valuable partner in our growth and expansion,'' said Jalinna Jones, President of the Board of Directors for the Northeast Texas Children's Museum. ''Their support has made possible popular exhibits and programs that are not only fun, but educational as well.'' Atmos Energy has been a supporter of the Children's Museum since January 2007 when the Museum moved to its present location at 2105 State Highway 24 on the Texas A&M University-Commerce campus.
