The Valley of the Caddo Museum and Cultural Center invites the public to attend a workshop on Saturday, October 17th, from 1:00-2:30 pm. This workshop will be held at the Caddo Museum located at 1115 Bonham Street in Paris. Neal Stilley, Texas Historical Commission Archeological Steward and Texas Master Naturalist, will present a program on Native Tools, Technologies and Friction Fire. Mr. Stilley is a highly experienced and dedicated professional with a background in archeology, anthropology and primitive technologies.
His career background includes the Texas Archeological Society, Houston Independent School District's outdoor educational programs, Center for Big Bend Studies - Sul Ross State University and the Shumla School. He is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, Nacogdoches, TX, with a Major in Anthropology/Archeology. This workshop is free and will be geared to all age levels.
